What a Trip…

So this will be a very quick post, as I just wanted to make sure you all know that I didn’t forget about you! We are now back home from our amazing trip and slowly but surly getting back into the swing of things. This time around the time change didn’t hurt us as bad as it usually does, which is great, but the cold and flu bug decided to visit me instead. I never get sick, but this was a doozy.

So now that normal life has found us again, I will have some time to start sorting through the thousands of pictures we took and get my things in order for my next post! Until then, I just wanted to share a handful of my favorite photos (so far) with you and hope you come back to see some more later!

The question…

While we were talking, I was recently asked by a co-worker and friend after she had read my last post, Faces, “Do you believe in God?”

My answer came as quickly as she asked it… “Absolutely… Don’t you?” I asked, but already knew what her answer would be just by the way she asked it.

“I’m an atheist, but truly believe in a ‘higher’ power”.

It wasn’t until after our conversation that I thought of what I wished I would have said.

“How can you not?” is simple as it sounds.

It didn’t take long for London to become one of our favorite cities, in fact I think it landed the top spot almost immediately. I’m not sure what it was exactly, I think just all of everything put together. Now I have mentioned favorite cities before during our past travels, but as in all around favorite, London takes the cake. I hope those who are following along, if you’ve never been, to put it on your “to-do” list right away… you won’t be disappointed.

Exceptional England

I’m going to begin this post with a little story…

I have long been fascinated with everything England, largely due to Queen Elizabeth I, Princess Diana and the Royal Family. With the Royal Wedding a year earlier, the excitement of it all was sure to still be in the air, and it was!

Wondrous Warsaw

Now some of you might be wondering about the title names I give my posts. Is Krakow really captivating? Budapest… brilliant? Really? Well how about Perfectly Prague. How can Prague be perfect?

Easy!

The saying goes, “The beauty is in the eye of the beholder”. This was originally used by the author Margaret Wolfe Hungerford for her book ‘Molly Bawn’ in 1878. The exact origin of the phrase is unknown though, as different forms have been used since the 3rd century BC when it was used by the Greeks.
