In need of technical help!

Alright travel photography friends…

I am looking to replace my current camera which is a Canon 70D.

I love the camera, but it is quite heavy for what I am using it for. I am weighing my options as far as a smaller more compact camera. Mirrorless? Who has used these? Do you like them?

My main focus is being able to travel with less bulk but yet still have the ability for amazing pictures. Fast focus, image stability etc… all the good stuff!

Any and all thought on this will be much appreciated and I look forward to hearing what you have for me!

Thanks in advance!

What a Trip…

So this will be a very quick post, as I just wanted to make sure you all know that I didn’t forget about you! We are now back home from our amazing trip and slowly but surly getting back into the swing of things. This time around the time change didn’t hurt us as bad as it usually does, which is great, but the cold and flu bug decided to visit me instead. I never get sick, but this was a doozy.

So now that normal life has found us again, I will have some time to start sorting through the thousands of pictures we took and get my things in order for my next post! Until then, I just wanted to share a handful of my favorite photos (so far) with you and hope you come back to see some more later!

So, let’s begin…

Alright everyone, tomorrow at this time we will be in the air and on our way to our first stop, Boston MA. I have been to Boston a few times but this will be Paul’s first. We have a good amount of time to get out and walk around, as we are there for one overnight with plenty of extra time to explore!

The question…

While we were talking, I was recently asked by a co-worker and friend after she had read my last post, Faces, “Do you believe in God?”

My answer came as quickly as she asked it… “Absolutely… Don’t you?” I asked, but already knew what her answer would be just by the way she asked it.

“I’m an atheist, but truly believe in a ‘higher’ power”.

I’m not a very “quick thinking” guy when it comes to words while being put on the spot, my words come more naturally to me when I get the chance to sit down and write them out.

It wasn’t until after our conversation that I thought of what I wished I would have said.

“How can you not?” is simple as it sounds.

Faces

This post isn’t going to follow in the order of the others, as I thought I would give my thought a try. The photos below are of people who we have crossed paths with in one way or another. Some are friends, while others are strangers from worlds away.

When you travel, no matter where you go, people’s faces tend to tell a story greater than those of your surroundings. Part of the experience of exploring is watching those around you. People’s faces are a story of who they are, what they have seen, what they have been through. Wherever you go, pay close attention on those faces… you never know what stories are within.
